1/8 Scale RC Model
Any one out there trying to build an 1/8 scale model? I find there are a number of wood parts listed but no dxf files. Not sure how to figure out their dimensions. My cad skill are not good enough to get the information from the step files. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the response. I'm in upstate NY. I'm looking for dimensions on the following wood parts. (Thickness and width are more important than length.)
Bottom Rail
Top Rail
Port inner deck batten
Stbd carlin
Port carlin
Sheer Clamp Stbd
Topside Battens Stbd
Bottom Rail
Top Rail
Sheer Clamp Port
Topside Battens Port.
Descriptions are from the Parts List on the model plans.

I am building the full-size boat we should be able to use my dimensions and divide by eight rather than four. As Dan is building the 1/4 scale model. He has mentioned that going smaller than 1/4 scale would be making some very thin parts. I'm in Michigan give me a call and we can discuss my number is 248-410-9684. Did you buy the 1/4 scale plans or the full-size plans. Also, on your list you sent there are quite a few duplications.

I purchased the 1/4 scale plans which for the price were not as complete as I would have hoped and apparently Dan has no interest in supporting the 1/4 scale plans.
So far every part has been cut from 1/8 plywood and I have 1/16 plywood for cold molding the hull.
It must be quite a challenge building the full size boat.
I'll try and call in the near future.

I do aim to support everyone no matter which of my plans people are using. In fact I regularly support people that aren't even building my boats. It does mean that sometimes it will take me a while to get to answer everyone though and just recently in particular I have been inundated with messages and emails which I am quite behind on.
I have now emailed you the cutting list for the full size boat which should indicate comparable timber sizes for you. I will also look to add a similar file into the model plan set so that people can reference the timber sizes from that if they aren't able to access the CAD viewer.
