If you are located in the States, there is a company located here by the name of IDCwoodcraft.com he only sells two size bits 1/8" and 1/4" they are cut a little different than regular bits and drill wood great (they are also short). You can also try 135-degree screw machine drills (or stub drills) they are shorter than regular jobbers' length bits use a collet not a drill chuck. I purchased an ER 16 adapter and a full set of collets from Amazon I think the brand is Accu-cut it has a 3/4" shank if you have a machine with a collet that size. As a full set of ER 32 collets can get pricey. I suggest cobalt rather than High Speed Steel they are in-between HS and carbide and not as expensive as carbide.
Best of luck,
Greg
