CNC Router Bits

Hi Dan,
I have taken the plunge and bought a 1220 x 1220 CNC CNC from China, Blue Elephant. I think it's the same manufacturer as your larger one. I was wondering if you would advise as to the best set of bits to get started with. ie what's your most used or useful bit and how many (given my " I haven't a clue" status) should I get. up cut, down cut, spiral or compression. Size and material.
When it arrives I very happy to share my experience of the China experience and the quality of the machine etc etc.

I would highly recommend https://cutter-shop.com/ - they have a huge amount of knowledge. We often call them for advise on unusual materials etc - and they also can provide some feeds and speeds to get you started
