Electronic battery motors to use

This build is my first RC product I will own so I have no knowledge about what electronic parts I will need. If someone could give me advice on a list of parts they used in there build that would be great

Updated List for a (Large-Scale) Electric RC Sports Boat

1. Power System (Electric Drive)

  • High-Power Brushless Motor
    • Example: Leopard 5692 1340KV or TP Power TP4070/TP5670.
    • Must be rated for 6S–12S LiPo and produce 4–6 kW power.
  •
  • High-Current ESC
    • Example: Swordfish 300A HV, Flier 240A HV, or Seaking HV 130/180A.
    • Must support up to 12S LiPo (44.4V).
    • Water-cooled type is essential.
  •
  • LiPo Batteries
    • Configuration: 2x 6S 5000–8000mAh in parallel or series.
    • Choose high-discharge rate (≥ 50C) to handle power draw.
    • Use hard case LiPos for safety and durability.
  •

2. Drivetrain Components

  • Heavy-Duty Flex Shaft Drive System
    • Suitable for high RPM and torque.
    • Diameter: 6mm or more, depending on motor output.
  •
  • Stuffing Tube + Teflon Liner
    • Properly aligned and greased to reduce drag and wear.
  •
  • Thrust Bearing Assembly
    • Required to absorb axial load from large props.
  •
  • Collet-Style Coupler
    • For 8mm or 10mm motor shafts.
  •
  • Metal Propeller
    • Example: Octura X-series, size: 50–65 mm, pitch matched to motor RPM.
  •
  • Adjustable Strut and Rudder System
    • CNC machined aluminum for durability.
    • Often includes integrated water pickups.
  •

3. Control System

  • High-End 2.4GHz Transmitter + Receiver
    • At least 4 channels, for throttle, rudder, and extras (like telemetry or trim).
  •
  • Large Torque Waterproof Servo
    • Example: Savox SW-1210SG, ≥ 20 kg/cm torque.
  •

4. Cooling System

  • Dual Water Pickups
    • One for motor, one for ESC. Optional: third for rudder cooling.
  •
  • Silicone Tubing (4–6 mm ID)
  • Water Cooling Jackets
    • Fitted to both motor and ESC. Ensure good contact for heat transfer.
  •

5. Mounting and Hull Setup

  • Motor Mount
    • Heavy-duty aluminum mount with vibration dampening.
  •
  • Battery Mounts
    • Secure with Velcro straps and foam padding.
  •
  • ESC Cooling Plate or Bracket
  • Hatch System
    • Use a sealed canopy hatch or tape + latch combo to ensure watertightness.
  •

6. Additional Essentials

  • Marine Grease for shaft maintenance
  • Battery Charger (multi-bank) capable of charging 6S+ LiPos
  • Failsafe setup to stop motor on signal loss
  • Cooling water filter (optional but smart)
  • Balance connector extensions for LiPo balance charging
  • Power meter or watt meter to monitor current draw during testing

Optional Add-ons

  • Telemetry system for RPM, temps, voltage
  • Onboard GPS for speed tracking
  • Kill switch or arming plug for safety
