I plan to build the Temptress starting in a few years, but while I wait for retirement, are there any books you would recommend that would help me with terminology, concepts, etc.
Thanks
Doug

Quote from Bob Kody on 21st September 2024, 12:53 amHi Doug - I was new to woodworking, when I started Temptress. I read the Gougeon brother’s book and watch a lot of Dan’s video.
Dan’s 1/4 scale videos are most helpful, for we amateurs.
While self promoting, I suggest you watch my Polymerman Boatbuilding videos as well. You will see a novice building Temptress step-by-step, and hopefully avoid the many mistake I have made along the way. And I don’t have a lot of tools, so perhaps it can save you $ as well.https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOkg9vLO-wqkCZHeRa9BH8mJQPJ6Wq8fE&si=DB_vfABhudlddFZM

Quote from doug on 2nd October 2024, 7:17 pmThanks Bob. I am watching your series as well. I am glad you and Dan re going first. I have about 5 years of woodworking experience but no boat building. I will start as soon as I move and get a new shop. Still under negotiations with wife 😀
