Speedheater
Quote from Joshua Saltmarsh on 8th January 2025, 8:50 pmHi,
Does anyone here have experience using speedheaters or any other UV strippers for removing varnish? I'm curious how well they work, and if it's hard to protect paint or gelcoat adjacent to the varnish being stripped.
Thanks!

Jani is a nice guy too so I'm sure if you drop him a message he will tell you how it performs.

Quote from Roy Consulting And Services AB on 12th February 2025, 7:42 pmI have used one the last month on my Storebro Royal Cruiser 34. It works extremely well, much easier to control the heat on surrounding materials than with a heatgun and when you learn to master it you will probably speed up your work 100% compared to a heatgun. It takes a little practice to learn to not burn the wood because of much higher heat than a heatgun so start on an surface on a backside of something 🙂
