Below are the typical grits that I use on a regular basis
- 80g for quick cutting of wood and fillers/fairing compounds
- 180g for preparation of bare wood and metals
- 320g for sanding in between paint and varnish coats
- 400g for preparation ahead of the final paint and varnish coats
