I was very impressed with your home built MDF lateral clamping system. Do you have files available I could use to make my own?
Hi, yes all files used in the lessons can be downloaded under the "exercise files" tab on the relevant lesson. Under module 2 lesson 4 you will find the download for the MFT clamping system.

I am pretty sure I programmed this in Fusion but in any case I can't really share the setup files as I don't own the rights to the STL.

I'm enjoying the course very much and looking to use your MDF clamping system. When I imported the file it appears as 600 in wide. I want to properly scale the file. What should I adjust it to be?

If you work through the Fusion design lessons it will show you how to scale this to any size you want. Size I guess would depend on what you want to make on it or the size of your CNC bed.
The files for the dashboard project can be downloaded in module 6 lesson 8.

That file is included within one of the plan sets that we sell (Rocket) and as it is not connected to any of the CNC wood worker course lessons it is not something I would release in there.
It would be a great beginner exercise for you to draw your own though. This could be done in either VCarve or Fusion after learning the skills taught in the design lessons for either of those programs.
In the course it says you will continuously upload DFX files for lifetime members of the course .... Can I buy the Dashboard DFX file then since it's not included in what I've already paid for without having to buy the complete boat plans.
Could you please upload the DFX file for the cockpit coaming please. To be honest the CNC course is not boating building centered none of the DFX file available in the course relate to boat building. I'm really not interested in making a dashboard for a car or an ICE cube plate. I bought this extremely expensive course under the pretext it would be related to boat building. I do have buyers regret 🙁
There is no mention of this being a boat building course, the only connection to that is in the name of the business. It is first and foremost a CNC wood working course as the name suggests. I have arranged the projects to cover and support the different topics that we learn in the course, whilst they may not all be things you would like to make, they teach you the principles that you are able to apply to your own projects in a wide manner of CNC and design operations.
I cannot just issue files at your request from other projects or plans that we sell and in any case, the files you have requested would not be relevant to any boat other than the ones they come with.
As I mentioned above, if you want a dashboard design, this would be a great opportunity to practice what you learn in the course. I can see from your account you have currently completed 0% of the course lessons. I would recommend working through them in order and once you get to the design modules you will be well equipped to design your own dashboard or cockpit coaming files to suit your particular project.

I understand your position, and I'm not asking you to give away plans from other paid projects.
My confusion comes from the fact that I bought your course specifically because you're known as a wooden boat builder. Your YouTube channel and the examples you use throughout your content are centered around boat building, so I don't think it was an unreasonable assumption that at least some of the projects or exercises would relate to modern wooden boat construction.
I've worked through a number of the lessons already, and I absolutely understand that the goal is to teach CNC and CAD/CAM principles rather than build one specific project. My question wasn't really about avoiding the learning process.
The reason I asked about the dashboard/coaming DXF files is that having an existing design to study would let me work backwards and better understand the design decisions, toolpaths, geometry, and construction techniques. For me, reverse engineering is often one of the fastest ways to learn.
If you don't provide those files, I completely respect that. I just wanted to explain why I asked and why I thought it was a reasonable request given your background and the way the course is presented.

As one of your charter members of the CNC Training course. I just want to say that you have been a great teacher and mentor to CNC workers. The CNC training has taught me many procedures and I have been using both Vetric and Fusion for over six years. I still use it as a reference source. You have expanded the course over the years without charging additional fees. In these days when most other firms are nickel and dimming customers with extra fees. You never said this was a boat building CNC Course. I am currently building Temptress slowly but working at it. Your support has been fantastic. In response to MR. CNCBeast regarding JKM he never responds to customers request. And his YouTube videos are just sales promotions for his online store. So in closing Mr Beast should buy boat plans if he wants someone to give him boat designs. And stop whining like a baby.
