Waterman – 19ft Fishing Skiff

Waterman is an all new boat plan designed for plywood construction. Waterman is the second in a new line of boat building plans designed by Michel Berryer and kitted by Dan Lee. Our new boat building plans deliver fully configured designs, available to the general public for home building. They are kitted to be built manually using traditional methods or utilising state of the art CNC technology.

Waterman started life as a very simple plywood fishing skiff designed by Howard Chapelle. Admiring Howard’s simple design, Michel Berryer revised the bottom and grew the boat to 19′ LOA x 6′-8″ Beam to handle a 25 h.p. outboard and provide a small cuddy for storage, protection from the weather and an msd. The boat will be kitted by myself to follow the same build process that is used in my other modernised boat plans.

Boat Building Plan Set

The boat building plan set is for a plywood skinned version of Waterman. It contains an illustrated document showing assembly of the parts and a 3D Model for referencing the general assembly and location of all components. DXF files for all components are pre nested into sized bounding boxes ready for importing to CAD software for CNC cutting. PDF versions are also provided so that full size paper patterns can be printed for manual cutting. Files are supplied in digital format only and are available to download directly at the checkout.
