One of the key features of the West System 207 Special Clear Coating Hardener is its added UV inhibitors and lack or amine blush. This makes it the perfect candidate for coating applications, eliminating the need for washing blush from the surface before proceeding with clear coating. The UV inhibitors also offer some additional UV protection although it is recommended that this product is over coated with a UV protective product such as a two part clear coat.

Recommended System

Clear coating of stable wood surfaces | 105 resin and 207 hardener – apply three coats of West System 105 resin and 207 hardener mixed at a 3:1 ratio. Application can be done wet on wet, waiting for the previous coat to reach the sellotape tacky stage before proceeding. Key up the surface with a coarse grit (180g maximum) before proceeding with building a two part clear system on top.
